Scouting Report

Aliyah Mazyck is a walking bucket. She is a scoring machine. She is extremely shifty and can create her own shot against anyone. Mazyck is a physical and very strong guard that bumps defenders off their position and gets to wherever she wants to get on the court.  She lives at the free throw line, averaging 9.6 free throw attempts in 2023-24. She rebounds like a power forward.

Defensively, she can guard positions 1-3 and is great on the ball and off the ball. She has averaged over 3 steals per game in multiple seasons. She is a special player!

2017-18 JUNIOR SEASON
Mazyck’s 86 threes made in her junior season set a new USC single-season record... Moved up to No. 8 all-time in career 3-pointers made with 126... Her 1,083 minutes played as 12th most all-time in a single season by a Trojan... Has started all 21 games... Averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game... Set new career high with 29 points scored at Colorado... Hit a career-best six 3-pointers twice — vs. Montana State and at Colorado... Had a career-high eight steals at Oregon... Recorded first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds vs. Long Beach State... Named one of three finalists for the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year... Averaged 7.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game... Hit double digits in 12 games... First career start was at Washington State on Jan. 15.

Mazyck was named the 2014 North Carolina 4A Player of the Year out of Myers Park High in Charlotte... Her team won back-to-back state championships in 2014 and 2015... Averaged 16 points per game...
